Basic Ilizarov Course

                                                                                            Basic Ilizarov Course held               7.11.2015

The Basic Ilizarov Course organized by the Department of Orthopaedics under the chairmanship of Dr M.Yamin (Professor &  Head of Orthopaedics) was inaugurated at DMCH by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta. More than 75 surgeons from all over North India attended the course which shall continue for over two days. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri welcomed the delegates and faculty and stressed upon the role of this techniquein the management of complicated cases. Department of Orthopaedics at DMCH has been providing this modality of treatment over the last two decades and has been pioneer in this technique in North India.

Dr Harpal Singh, Organizing Secretary of the course, highlighted the advantages of this Russian technique in correcting the limb length, deformities and complex damage to lower limb due to injuries. Dr M.Yamin stressed the point that this technique should be used only by surgeons trained in this technique.
