About Doctor

Dr. Atul Mishra is a professor and unit head at DMCH. He did his MBBS in 1992 & MS in 1996 from King George Medical college and FRCS from UK. He has been trained in Gastro-surgery, Advanced laparoscopic and Thoracoscopic (VATS) surgery. He has numerous publications. Dr. Mishra is among the few surgeon in country to perform VATS surgery and he is the first surgeon to start VATS in whole of north India. He has pioneered several advanced laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures. He has keen interest in Advanced Laparoscopic hernia repair and AWR. He is also specialist in treating huge hernias (LOD) with Botox and pneumoperitoneum. He performs Thyroid, Parathyroid and soft tissue tumor surgery with Keyhole technique. He has long experience of treating complex fistulas and pilonidal sinus.
