About Doctor

Dr. Priyanka Arora is a distinguished Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus Specialist, currently serving as Professor at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana. Her academic journey began with an MS in Ophthalmology, followed by advanced fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus that shaped her subspecialty focus.

She further pursued subspecialty training in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and medical retina under the guidance of Dr. M.R. Dogra at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai—institutions renowned for pediatric retinal care. This training has equipped her to manage complex neonatal retinal disorders and surgical challenges in children.

Dr. Arora’s clinical work is deeply informed by academic rigor. Her numerous publications in national and international journals reflect her contributions to pediatric ophthalmology, including ROP, pediatric cataracts, amblyopia, strabismus surgery, and low vision rehabilitation.

At DMCH, she is the Project Lead for Project ROSHANI, a visionary initiative addressing childhood blindness through outreach, screening, subsidized treatment, and community engagement. The project supports eye screenings across schools, free or subsidized surgeries, and awareness-building through camps and partnerships.

Widely respected for her surgical precision and empathy, Dr. Arora is known as a committed clinician who ensures that young patients receive not only advanced care but also compassionate support. Her holistic approach and leadership have earned her a place among the most trusted pediatric ophthalmologists in the region.
