About Doctor

Dr. Suvir Singh trained in Internal Medicine and Clinical Hematology from CMC, Vellore, one of the largest academic centers in India doing some of the highest level work in Hematology/Oncology. 

He spearheaded the establishment of a new Department of Clinical Haematology and Stem Cell Transplantation. As of June 2025, the department has successfully performed close to 100 stem cell transplants (Auto/Allogeneic and MUD) Significantly, Dr. Singh also conducted the first CAR-T cell procedure in the state of Punjab.

Dr. Singh currently oversees an active hematology department, including patients with blood cancers, and other blood diseases, and regularly performs stem cell transplants. He also provides consultative Hematology services for other departments for blood related problems. This makes DMCH only the third hospital in North India to offer these advanced facilities.

Dr. Suvir has maintained a central focus on research, with several publications (list below) with ongoing work on multiple myeloma and myeloproliferative neoplasms. He is committed to providing high value, evidence based care for patients with blood diseases.
