About Doctor

Dr Ritu Aggarwal is an experienced and one of the best Radiation Oncologists in Ludhiana. She is associated with Cancer Care Centre as a – Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncologist.

After completing her MBBS from the prestigious Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla (1999), Dr Aggarwal pursued a one year compulsory Rotatory Internship from General Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh. Later, she gained DNB (Radiation Oncology) from MD Oswal Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, Ludhiana in October 2005. Also, she earned a Diploma in Hospital Administration from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad in 2013.

Prior to joining AOI, Dr Aggarwal worked as a Senior Medical Officer at the Department of Oncology at Fortis Hospital, Mohali from January 2006 to March 2007. Later, she joined Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana as a Senior Resident, from where she moved on to work as a at the Department of Radiation Oncology at MD Oswal Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, Ludhiana (November 2008 to May 2011) and Indus Super-specialty Hospital, Mohali (May 2011 to March 2013), respectively.

Recognized as the best radiation oncologist in Ludhiana, Dr Aggarwal was awarded Overseas Fellowship by the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India where she had undergone training for IMRT, IGRT, Tomotherapy, and CyberKnife. The Fellowship was completed at West Middlesex University Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, London in 2010.

Apart from numerous recognitions, Dr Aggarwal has also been bestowed with the prestigious Naari Shakti Award by NGO Aadhar in October 2013 for her selfless contribution to the society. Also, she has been awarded ‘Chikitasak Samman’ by Dainik Jagran, Ludhiana in 2018.

Besides attending various national/international conferences and workshops, Dr Aggarwal has various publications and research papers to her credit. She is a member of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) and Gynecology Oncology Association of India.
