About Doctor

Dr. Gautam Singal is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with a stellar academic and professional track record, known for his clinical expertise, leadership in medical education, and contributions to cardiovascular research.

He earned his MBBS from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana (2003) and went on to pursue Internal Medicine at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, home to Asia’s largest OPD. He completed his super-specialization in Cardiology at the Army Hospital Research & Referral (AHRR), New Delhi – the apex referral center for India’s Armed Forces.

Dr. Singal has served as a Consultant Cardiologist at leading institutions including Fortis Hospital and Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi. He has had the honour of treating three Presidents of India, including being the in-house cardiologist to Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India (2014–2015).

As the former Head of Cardiology at Government Medical College, Patiala, he was instrumental in establishing the hospital’s first-ever Cath Lab. Under his leadership, the hospital witnessed its first permanent pacemaker implantation and first coronary angioplasty, setting the foundation for advanced cardiac care in the region.

He currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Cardiology at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, performing a wide range of cardiac procedures with special expertise in complex coronary and structural heart interventions.

Dr. Singal is a respected National Teaching Faculty for DNB Cardiology under the National Board of Examinations (NBE). He is actively involved in clinical research, serving as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in multiple prestigious studies funded by ICMR, PHRI, NIH (USA), and Imperial College London.

An avid academic contributor, he has published extensively in national and international journals and is a peer reviewer for top-tier journals, including JACC Asia.
